UP: Relief for JS University Students, Agra University to Conduct Exams… Takes Over Administrative Control
Following the cancellation of JS University’s recognition, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra has assumed administrative control of the private institution at Shikohabad in Firozabad district. A team led by the Vice‑Chancellor and Registrar of Agra University reached the JS University campus to take charge, review records, and assess pending academic activities.
The takeover aims to provide relief to the students who were worried about their academic future after JS University’s derecognition. The Agra University leadership assured students that incomplete courses and pending exams will be conducted under its supervision, and degrees and mark sheets will now be issued by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University to ensure the validity of their academic credentials.
On seeing the administrative change, many students gathered at the campus for information. Officials have advised them to remain patient and have explained the transition process in detail. The decision to bring JS University under Agra University’s administrative umbrella follows government action after allegations of irregularities and fake degrees at JS University, which also led to liquidation orders by the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet and investigative actions to protect the interests of around 4,000 enrolled students.
The takeover is intended to ensure that students’ education and future career prospects are not negatively affected by the derecognition and administrative changes.
